About Us

Az-Zikr Online Islamic Institute

Az-Zikr is an online Islamic learning platform established in June 2020 by Ustadha Atiqa Mutee, with the mission to revive hearts with the light of the Qur’an. Rooted in authenticity and compassion, Az-Zikr is dedicated to teaching the Qur’an with excellence, sincerity, and proper Tajweed — to women, children, and boys across the globe.

From structured Hifdh programs to interactive Qaida, Tajweed, Tafseer, and grammar courses, Az-Zikr offers comprehensive Qur’anic education that caters to various age groups and learning needs.

Languages of Instruction:
While Az-Zikr’s core instruction is in Urdu, we also offer select programs and one-on-one classes in English and Arabic — taught by qualified instructors, based on availability.

About the Founder– Ustadha Atiqa Mutee

Born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan, Ustadha Atiqa Mutee embarked on her journey of Qur’anic education at a young age. She memorized the entire Qur’an with Tajweed in 2011 from Kulliyat-ul-Qur’an wal-Madrasah al-ʿIlmiyyah lil-Banāt, under the supervision of Idarah al-Islah Pakistan. Driven by a deep love for the Qur’an, she continued her studies in Qira’at, Tajweed, Tafseer, and Hadith, completing advanced diplomas and certifications from esteemed institutions. Over the years, she further enriched her skills through international programs — mastering both classical knowledge and modern teaching techniques. With over 11 years of teaching experience, Ustadha Atiqa has taught women, children, and boys — first in-person at Quraan College, Kasur, and later online to a global audience. In 2020, she founded Az-Zikr Online Islamic Foundation with the mission to provide authentic Qur’anic education rooted in love, excellence, and sincerity.

Mission

At Az-Zikr, our mission is to connect hearts with the Qur’an — not merely by teaching its letters, but by planting love for it in the hearts of our students. We aim to make Qur’anic learning accessible, gentle, and transformative. Our teachers are hand-picked for their strong knowledge, refined recitation, and excellent adab. We prioritize kindness in teaching, and discourage any harshness that may push learners away from the beauty of the Deen.
